Summer Homework
Please do the Articulation calendars posted on the Home/Preschool page (you can do the Language ones too if you want!). In addition, do the following:
  • Read out loud 5 minutes each day using your good speech sounds!
  • Go to http://www.madglibs.com and do a madlib each week! When you enter words, remember that they have to have your speech sound. Once it is complete, read it out loud to a friend or family member using your BEST speech sounds.



MAY
May Week 1 Homework
  • Read out loud 5 minutes a day to a parent or sibling, and use your good speech sound.
  • Do the mad lib "Raining Cats and Dogs." Have your parent or friend read what type of word you need to insert, and make sure that it has your speech sound in it! Once it is all filled out, read it out loud using your good speech sound. 
  • Bring your printed off and completed homework back to me for an extra space on the game board!


May Week 2 Homework
  • Read out loud 5 minutes a day to a parent or sibling, and use your good speech sound.
  • Think of 10 words that have your speech sound in it. Make a story using these 10 words, make it as silly as possible. Write it down and read it out loud to a family member using your good speech sound.  
  • Bring your written story back to me for an extra space on the game board!

May Weeks 3-4 Homework
There is no speech class the last two weeks of school. Choose your favorite activities to do these weeks. Stay posted for summer homework!


APRIL
April Week 1 Homework
  • Go to www.wordle.net. Click "create new." Put in lots of words with your speech sound to make a collage! If you want certain words to be bigger than others, enter them in multiple times. After you make your collage, print it, and say each word on it 5 times every day for 5 days.

April Week 2 Homework:
  • SPRING BREAK! Enjoy it- no homework :)

April Week 3 Homework
  • Read out loud 5 minutes a day to a parent or sibling, and use your good speech sound. 
  • Cut out 12 pictures from a magazine that have your speech sound. Make a story with them, and tell the story to 3 people (at three different times). 

April Week 4 Homework
  • Watch your favorite TV show. Write down 20 words that you hear on the show that have your speech sound in it. Say those words once a day for 5 days this week.


MARCH

March Week 2 Homework
  • Read out loud 5 minutes a day to a parent or sibling, and use your good speech sound.

March Week 3 Homework

  • While at the store, see how many things you can find that have your speech sound in it (ex. if your sound is /s/, "strawberry" would get a point. See if you can find more than your parents or siblings!

March Week 4 Homework
  • Read out loud 5 minutes a day to a parent or sibling, and use your good speech sound.
  • Do the mad lib "Thursday." Have your parent or friend read what type of word you need to insert, and make sure that it has your speech sound in it! Once it is all filled out, read it out loud using your good speech sound.

March Week 5 Homework

  • Find a worksheet on the blog that has words/pictures with your speech sound in it. Say the words 10 times each with your good sound and then make a story using all your words.


FEBRUARY

February Week 1 Homework
  • Read out loud 5 minutes a day to a parent or sibling, and use your good speech sound.
  • Do the mad lib "Making a Pizza." Have your parent or friend read what type of word you need to insert, and make sure that it has your speech sound in it! Once it is all filled out, read it out loud using your good speech sound. 
  • Bring your printed off and completed homework back to me for an extra space on the game board!


February Week 2 Homework
  • Read out loud 5 minutes a day to a parent or sibling, and use your good speech sound.
  • Think of 7 words that have your speech sound in it. Make a story using these 7 words, make it as silly as possible. Write it down and read it out loud to a family member using your good speech sound. 
  • Bring your written story back to me for an extra space on the game board!

February Week 3 Homework
  • Read out loud 5 minutes a day to a parent or sibling, and use your good speech sound.
  • While walking or driving, have a race with your parent to see how many things you can find that have your speech sound in it (ex. if your sound is /s/, "stop sign" would get a point. Maybe two since it has two of your sound in it! Decide with your parent). 

February Week 4 Homework
  • Read out loud 5 minutes a day to a parent or sibling, and use your good speech sound.

    1. Thanks for this! I love your blog! So many activities I know James will love. Can you tell me what speech sound you are working on with him specifically so that we can use the right one? I would assume it's TH?
